John Becker

John leads the Sales, Service and Insights Delivery teams for Vizient’s Data & Digital solutions, including Sg2 strategic analytics and Vizient’s clinical and operational tools. His oversight ensures Vizient® delivers on its commitment to cost, quality and market performance improvement across all memberships. His responsibilities also include delivering novel research, perspective and thought leadership via Sg2 Intelligence and the Vizient Research Institute.

Prior to his current role, John led Vizient’s Strategic Growth Solutions business as well as various Sg2 service, sales and strategic accounts teams over his nearly two decade tenure with the company. In his pre–Sg2/Vizient life, he held multiple sales and management positions with Merck & Co, Inc.

John earned his MBA from Loyola University Chicago and was awarded the Graduate Business School’s Outstanding Graduate. He also holds an MS in organic chemistry from Indiana University. As an undergraduate, he majored in psychology and chemistry, earning a BA with departmental honors from Northwestern University.

John is an avid, though aging, runner and veteran of now 26 marathons (including a bucket list Boston at long last). He’s also a self-declared competitive stair climber, and he is currently mastering the art of kettle bells. He lives in St Charles, IL, with his wife, Karen, adjusting to an empty nest with their two offspring in college and graduate school.
